What a story: the Barber of Seville
Aimed at Primary Schools
What are we going to do?
The workshop, based on Rossini’s opera buffa “Il Barbiere di Siviglia,” explores the basic elements of opera. Through learning about the plot and characters, such as the barber Figaro and the lively Rosina, participants experiment with singing, acting and reading the text.
The activity includes face-to-face lectures and hands-on workshops, with the aim of discovering individual expressive potential and learning the basics of vocal skills. The workshop aims to introduce and experience the history and music of an opera that has entertained generations.
The activity consists of 15 meetings per class, including a give-back open to the public.
Number of meetings per class: 15
The workshop will take place on the following dates:
- January 31, 2025 – 10 a.m.
The first meeting will be held at the Rondo on one of the bookable dates; the second meeting will be held at school, subject to arrangements with the workshop contact person.
A final restitution meeting open to the public is planned at the Talent Rondo.
It will be possible to reserve for the appointment from October 1 to October 4, 2024.
