CRC Innova and the Social Consortium The Thread to Weave., in collaboration with the Rondo dei Talenti, with contributions from CRC Foundation and the support of member companies of Imprese per la Granda (Generali Insurance General Agency of Cuneo, ACDA, Sedamyl, Bottero and Tesi Square) are promoting for the 2024/2025 school year the second edition of “Video-exploring the world of work.”.

The initiative is aimed at expanding the video library of professions by involving boys and girls from secondary schools, their teachers, career counselors and guidance counselors, and businesses nationwide.

Objectives

Male and female students will be able to approach the world of work through an experiential orientation and experience a practical activity useful for:

  • Make an informed choice about their educational and professional future;
  • Trigger a process of activation and autonomy;
  • Promote an interactive exploration of the world of work through meeting professional figures who work passionately in their local area;
  • Equip teachers with methodological tools to develop a shared and replicable orientation practice, through the mentoring of orientators and the adoption of a common format.

Partecipation

As described in detail in the Rules and Regulations, all that is required to participate is:

  • fill out the FORM> of the expression of interest to register your class or group byDecember 8, 2024;
  • take a look at the starter-kit containing documentation and tips for preparing and conducting the video interview DISCOVER THE PLAYLIST;
  • identify a professional/worker to be interviewed and prepare the meeting as if they were a news outlet;
  • make the video interview (max 2 min) + 1 photo (it will be necessary for the interviewee to sign the release of image use);
  • fill out the FORM to upload video interview, photo , and image use release of interviewee by February 28, 2025.

CRC Innova and The Thread to Weave Consortium provide participants:

  • STARTER KIT available online containing dissemination materials, regulations, video-pilot, tutorials for preparing and conducting the interview, and release for use of images. DISCOVER THE PLAYLIST
  • 2 INFORMATIVE and TRAINING WEBINARS. aimed at addressing both from an orientation and technical/practical perspective the conduct of the initiative. Special attention will be paid to the topic of orientation exploration and technical and methodological approaches to conducting the activity. Tuesday, October 15, 2024 5 p.m. the first webinar of an informative nature and open to all will be organized. This will be followed at a date to be determined by the second Webinar of a formative and in-depth nature for those who have expressed interest in Video we explore.

Awarded prizes

All video interviews conducted will be included in the Video Library of Professions. From these, the most significant ones will be identified and awarded prizes at the project’s final party to be held on April 11, 2025 at the Rondò dei Talenti in Cuneo. In particular, the best videos will be awarded a recognition plaque with motivation from the jury and offered participation in the day-long party at the Rondò dei Talenti, a tour to the Rondò dei Talenti and a souvenir gadget of the day.

All participants will be given a certificate of participation, logo sticker and voucher for a free guided tour of the Rondo dei Talenti upon reservation along with a welcome kit.

ABC Video laboratory

As part of the Video Let’s Explore initiative, in collaboration with the Coordination Table on Orientation, an activity will be carried out dedicated to five classes in the Cuneo area involving an entire workshop day dedicated to exploring the world of Work and learning the basic techniques of video making (time 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.).

Together with an experienced Videomaker and Orientator and with the participation of the Enterprises for the Granda, boys/girls will learn how to design, conduct and carry out video interviews on their own and begin an exploratory process of the world of work that can further continue with the teachers.

On the day marked by “doing,” orientation and technological aspects will be offered to boys and girls, practical tests for handling video filming and editing (tablet or phone required per group or per boy) and for conducting and carrying out the video interview, which can then be shared within their own school.
